For each cruise leg of Aerosols99 and INDOEX we have four particle size
distribution data sets available for plotting and/or downloading.
-
A "dry" DMPS (Differential Mobility Analyzer) measured particle number size
distribution in the diameter range of 0.003 to 0.67 microns during Aerosols99
and 0.003 to 0.9 microns during INDOEX
.
(Files: AEROINDO99_nsd_dmps_dry_AERO.csv AEROINDO99_nsd_dmps_dry_INDO.csv)
-
A "wet" (RH=55%) DMPS measured particle number size distributions in the
diameter range of 0.022 to 0.677 microns during Aerosols99 and 0.022 to 0.9
microns during INDOEX.
(Files: AEROINDO99_nsd_dmps_wet_AERO.csv AEROINDO99_nsd_dmps_wet_INDO.csv)
-
A "dry" APS measured particle number size distribution in the aerodynamic
diameter range of 0.54 to 5 microns during Aerosols99 and 0.54 to 17 microns
during INDOEX. (Here aerodynamic diameter means that the
particle has the aerodynamic drag force equivalent to a unit density particle of
that diameter.)
(Files: AEROINDO99_nsd_aps_dry_AERO.csv AEROINDO99_nsd_aps_dry_INDO.csv )
-
A DMPS-APS, diameter corrected, composite size distribution. The APS
diameters have been corrected from aerodynamic diameter at 33% RH to the
geometric diameter at RH 55%.
The correction uses a
calculated density from the chemical composition obtained with a seven stage
impactor and a thermodynamic model to calculate
the water content of the particles at 55% RH.
The size range in the composite size distribution is 0.22 to 5 microns for
Aerosols99 and 0.022 microns to 10 microns for INDOEX.

The following files are available for downloading. Please note: one data
file may cover more than one time period, thus, some files may be listed
more than once. All files are in csv (comma separated value) format.
After several lines of general information each file starts with a first
row that contains the particle diameter in microns for that column.
The first column contains the date/time in Day-of-Year, DOY. DOY 32.5 is
1200 noon UTC on 1-February. All data are in units of dN/dlog10(Dp), N/cm^3.
Missing data are designated by a -99 or a -999.
