0600 – Filter change (tower and vans)
0800 – Radiosonde launch (20th)
0930 – Ozonesonde launch
1130 – CTD/Optical cast station ops
(SeaWifs satellite pass: ~1215L)
- CTD w/ bottle samples at 0m, 10m, 30m, 50m, 200m, 300m
- RADS drifter (deploy/recover)
- Optical cast to 300m
1800-1900 – Quick filter change and ROx calibration (tower)
2000 – Radiosonde launch
1930 (19th) – Weather discussion in ship’s library
2400 – Quick filter change and ROx calibration (tower)
Notes:
- All personnel accessing the tower should log in w/ AL Van (ext. 161) and check with Bridge (ext. 125)
- Access to forward part of 0-2 van deck (except for transit to/from vans) and the bow area is restricted during scientific sampling ops – check with AL van (ext. 161)
- SCIENCE TALKS: Every other night at 8PM in the ship’s library. Speakers and topics are posted in library and elsewhere around the ship. Talks are general and (mostly…) non-technical in nature… any and all hands aboard are invited to attend. Tomorrow night (22nd): Mike Reynolds on atmospheric radiation measurements
