(He is playing his reputation here, which is very high). So we expect you to encounter increasing pollution levels from 0100Z onwards. We suggest you prepare for a 1st balloon release at 0530Z, but if levels still increase you can delay till at most 0800Z. We will be waiting for yr email re. Winds from NW in the W of the ACE2 area backing to SW in the E. Slight subsidence still for the N+1 and upward movements for the N+2, mainly in N ACE2 area. Low levels: the Anticyclone weakens over the Iberian Peninsula as a secondary low builds-up. Wind NE and N at 15-20kts. MBL steady at the begining, around 900 m, but it could start deepening by the end of N+1, for N+2 the MBL-top will rise, as well as cloud bases and tops as the Trough between Canaries and Azores becomes deeper. For the N+1: clear skies over Sagres, Gulf of Cadiz and N ACE2 area increasing to scattered/broken to the S with Cu and Sc and becomig broken/overcast with Sc around Madeira and S to the Canaries. Clouds bases around 600-700 m probably rising slightly by the end of the day. For N+2: increase in cloudiness in the E and NE of ACE2 area, almost overcast over Madeira and NW ACE area. Some showers or thunderstorms are possible for Sagres and NE ACE2 area. Some rain is also possible N of Tenerife by the end of N+2. Anthropogenic air over Sagres area and N ACE2 area both in the MBL and Low FT moving to the SE. Clean over Tenerife in the MBL and FT the MBL and FT. DAY N+3. Upper Levels: Trough-line from Ireland to the Canary Islands moving E and weakening. Subsidence over Central an S ACE2 area and rising air over the E and NE. Low levels: High Presure area from SW Azores to Scandinavia. Thermal low over N Africa extending over the Iberian Peninsula. Winds from the N, 15kts on average. Instability over the Iberian Peninsula where some showers and thunderstorms are possible, even in the Sagres area. Scattered/broken with Cu and Sc over Sagres and Portuguese Coast, increasing to broken layers of Cu and Sc over the W and S, including Canaries, almost overcast over Madeira and NW ACE2 area. Light rain is possible N of Tenerife. MBL will remain deep but will begin to decrease by the end of the day. Cloud bases in Tenerife around 900-1000 m, occassionally 700 m. Anthropogenic air over the N and E of ACE area in the MBL and low FT, probably Clean in the W and S of the area. DAY N+4: Upper levels: trough over the Iberian Peninsula, weakening and moving East. Ridge from Ireland to NW of the Canaries. Subsidence over the whole ACE area. Low levels: Anticyclone of 1028 Hpa over Azores including the Iberian Peninsula. Low over the Mediterranean and S France. Winds from the NE, 10kt on average. MBL decresing ,cloud bases in Tenerife close to 700 m. Clear/Scattered skies over Sagres and E of ACE area, increasing to broken over Madeira and Canaries.
