ST meeting 0701 Tuesday Meteo outlook DAY N+1:Upper levels: The cold low over the British Islands is stationary and it has a trough-line between Azores and Canary Islands. Clean air is advected everywhere over the area. Low levels: The anticyclone of 1028 mb is north of Azores moving southwestward, but this day winds will still be weak. Clean and slightly subsident air will be advected all over the area. Scattered cumulus clouds over the whole area. Northerly winds around 12 kts at north of the area and 8 kts at south. MBL stationary, decreasing at the end. DAY N+2: In the upper levels, the situation is quite similar to last days, advecting clean and slightly subsident air over the whole area. In the low levels, the anticyclone is over Azores, and this produces clear sky over Sagres, increasing cloudiness from north to south, with mostly clouds of stratocumulus over Madeira and Canary Islands. Posible rain at north of Tenerife. The MBL-depth will decrease. Wind from north at the north edge of the area and from northeast at the south around 15 kts. Clean and subsident air will be advected over the whole area. DAY N+3: Upper levels: The cold low over the British Islands is moving eastwards and a ridge from the west is moving eastward too. The general circulation is now north of the ACE-2 area. Clean and subsident air all over the area. Low levels: The 1028 mb anticyclone over Azores is moving slowly eastwards and reforcing to 1032 mb. This produces increasing winds from northeast over the whole area (from north at the north edge of the area). Clear sky over Sagres, increasing cloudiness from north to south, with mostly clouds of stratocumulus over Madeira and Canary Islands. Probably rain at north of Tenerife. Winds around 20 kts. MBL stationary or light decreasing. Operations Tuesday 1. Citation hunted for Montserrat volcano plume, but did not find it. No traces of it in IZO/TNS LIDAR signals either. 2.
