Today
1. Merlin FSSP intercomparison will be presented tomorrow
2. HILLCLOUD to be carried out tonight.

Friday
Iberian coastal pollution expected in Sagres and PDH
1- Co-ordinated CLEARCOLUMN mission between Pelican and IZO
near Tenerife (Task 1.3). No NOAA overpass. ADEOS at 12.09 UTC.
2- PCAPS intercomparison on Merlin (MRF, Pelican + Merlin's)
3- Dornier CLOUDYCOLUMN test flight likely

Saturday
Clean condition over ACE-2 area. Frontal clouds over North of the
area
Faint possibility of desert dust over Sagres
4- CLOUDYCOLUMN near Tenerife considered  (Task 2.1). Reconsider
tomorrow.
5- HILLCLOUD to be carried out

Sunday
Clear post-frontal conditions expected near Sagres.
5- CLEAR LAGRANGIAN (+ CLEARCOLUMN over ship) considered
6- Ship should then be kept at  S to S-E of Sagres till Sunday
noon

General.

Comparison of forecasted BW trajectories, with BW traject based on
analyzed winds, and with observations show that 1 and 2 day
predictions
for Sagres were accurate. For Tenerife, BW traj's traveling over
the
ocean west of Iberia still brought pollution to Tenerife.

B. Please provide ship report in agreed format
C. (from phil russell : HF radio test scheduled for 20:00 UTC was
cancelled
because power to HF radios off. Reschedule for tomorrow. When ?
Preferably
earlier, eg 12:00 UTC.
